Welcome to the Knox Prairie Community Kitchen

Thank You!

Our "extra" community meal on May 3 was a huge success. Many thanks to Knox College for their sponsorship and to the students, staff and faculty of Knox who volunteered - serving drinks, busing tables, washing dishes and doing everything possible to make the evening a success. It was wonderful and we won't forget it.

It was also a near-record night for the KPCK. We served 180 guests and nearly 250 meals! Thank you to all our guests who make every meal worthwhile. We really appreciate you and hope you enjoy yourselves. It's great seeing you every week.

Thank you for visiting the Knox Prairie Community Kitchen (KPCK). We are a not-for-profit (status pending) volunteer organization in Galesburg, Illinois dedicated to alleviating local food needs, creating a deeper sense of community and educating about hunger, food insecurity and food policy.

We present twice-monthly free meals at the Central Congregational Church in Galesburg. All are invited and welcome.

In the future, look for educational activities and events in addition to our regular meals. Announcements about dinners are made via our website, local radio and newspapers and regularly posted meal schedules at many community locations.
